What Our Customers Say
The moment you walk in, the aroma of sizzling meats and fresh tortillas hits you. Max's friendly vibe just seals the deal. Every bite bursts with juicy, authentic Mexican goodness. From tender lengua tacos to the crave-worthy chorizo burrito that's perfect for sharing. The quick service, fresh fixings, and those irresistible aguas frescas keep me coming back again and again.
I have been going to Adobo Taco for over 5 years. Foot traffic is consistent regardless of the time or day. This is the first place I have tried a Vampiro and I am so glad I did. Because no other place compares.
The Vampiro is a must-try, perfectly paired with a side of their flavorful beans.
We tried Adobo for the first time on Sunday and the food was fantastic. We had three different street tacos, asada, pollo, and pastor. All three were wonderful, with the asada being our favorite. The warm tortillas and the self-serve salsa and pickled veg bar really set them apart. Service was friendly and efficient and the prices were a good value.
Their tacos are slightly bigger than the standard street taco size and the tortillas were freshly made. I ordered 3 tacos, lengua, pollo, and asada. All the meats were delicious and top notch quality. The cashier was sweet and friendly in explaining the menu and meats. They have a salsa bar with many toppings to choose from and it's super clean. I noticed staff cleaning it every 5 minutes or so.
The Carne Asada though, completely blew us both away. The flavor was just so freaking good. The carne asada burrito came out better than most. The meat wasn't overly dry or tough and paired well with herby notes. Al pastor and the carne asada are so worth it.
The carnitas was one of the standout meats, arriving super tender, super juicy, with boatloads of porky flavor. The shrimp burritos are some of the best shrimp burritos in all of SoCal. Everything was exceptionally fresh and delicious. Every bite loaded with shrimp.
Adobo has a limited menu that is scrumptious. Handmade corn tortillas are wonderful. Tacos come on small, handmade-in-front-of-you corn tortillas with meat only, and you choose your toppings from a cart. Onions, cilantro, beans, pickled onions, radishes and 3 kinds of salsa. The vampiro, a tortilla slathered with guacamole with your choice of meat, is outstanding. The owners are super nice people and always greet you with a smile and a warm hello.
I must pass on a phrase I read in another review that made me come here and try it. 'I daydream about the vampiro.' Because this is 100% accurate. I will be back for their expertly flavored vampiro.
A hidden gem of authentic street tacos. It's a small place that's usually crowded because of the good food. The Pollo Adobado taco was filled with rich flavors and cooked to a tender perfection. The Taco de Lengua had super tender, delicate tongue. One of the better versions I've had. Tortillas you could tell were made from scratch and were so soft and good.
